Claims Management

“Nancy knows these policies inside out and is involved in all aspects of her clients’ insurance.” – David McKeon, McKeon and Associates Adjusting Company

David McKeon, Independent Claims AdjusterWhile constructing tailored, comprehensive policies for our clients is our number one priority, we understand that having an experienced, courteous, and capable claims adjuster is imperative to simplify what can be a very stressful and confusing process.

That is why the Canadian Camping Association (CCA) Insurance Program relies on an independent adjuster, David McKeon, of McKeon and Associates Adjusting Company, to ensure you get through any crisis with as little disruption and stress as possible.

David has worked on insurance claims with Nancy Brown since 1989, and as the exclusive adjuster for the camp program since 2002. This relationship works so well due to their mutual respect, shaped from their shared commitment to exceptional dedication to their clients.

Why use an independent claims adjuster?

Unbiased advice

Many insurance companies use in-house claims adjusters. In house adjusters work directly for the Insurer.  Dave McKeon, however, is not an employee of any insurance company. As an independent claims adjuster, David serves as the middleman between you and the insurance company. Our CCA camp insurance policies are written to cover the unique needs of camps, and David’s role is to carefully assess the extent of the damage and investigate injuries to ensure you receive the benefits to which you are entitled.

Experience counts

The last thing you have time for are disruptions to your business. As the exclusive adjuster for the camp program for over a decade, his vast experience enables him to quickly:

  • Assess the extent of damage to property;
  • Assist with the coordination of repairs or replacement of property;
  • Determine the classification of injuries;
  • Investigate bodily injury and abuse allegations;
  • Coordinate crisis management; and
  • Assist with media relations.

David uses his understanding of the business and operations of camps, and the camp policies to quickly handle claims and get repairs and settlements finalized, so you can focus on what you do best – running a great camp program.

Specialized expertise

David will personally handle the investigation and negotiation of sensitive bodily injury and abuse claims, which are notoriously stressful, costly, and difficult to manage.  David will provide you with guidance on how to handle these situations, and will keep your information confidential at all times.

With more than 30 years of experience as an independent adjuster dealing with both large and small claims, David specializes in reaching a fast and fair settlement whether your claim is simple and straightforward or extremely complex.

Teamwork

When dealing with camp losses or claims, it is reassuring to work with an insurance team that is experienced, well-versed in the policy wording, and intimately acquainted with camp culture. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who each bring their unique talents and expertise to the team. You can call at any time and have your questions answered by someone who thoroughly understands your policy.

The involvement of Nancy and her team does not end when you purchase your insurance policy. When a claim is made, or a loss occurs, Nancy and her team work closely with David to ensure the policy is responding as written and that the settlement awarded matches the terms of the policy. She always goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are treated fairly. That’s because Nancy doesn’t work for the insurance company, and neither does any member of her team.

Our entire team works for you; our client.

12-month and around the clock access

A crisis rarely strikes during regular office hours. When you need to report a claim, a member of our team is available by phone or email 24/7. Damage may occur, or incidents may be discovered, when the camp is not in operation.  No matter what time of year it is, David will see to it that the situation is addressed promptly.

What do I do if I suffer a loss of property or receive a report of bodily injury or abuse?

In the event of a loss, our clients can access David at our camp claims hotline or our online reporting form.  A member of our team will be in touch as soon as possible, and will walk you through the claims process.

We will be there for you when you need to make a claim at any time of day or night.
